• ID Released In Fatal Groton Crash, Police Say (patch.com) — A 23-year-old Groton resident, Nigel Badal, has been identified as the driver who died after a high-speed crash on Route 12 early Tuesday morning. Police say a Town of Groton officer attempted a traffic stop before the car hit a steel pole near Kings Highway, and investigators later found a loaded handgun in the vehicle. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact Groton police.
