With Temperatures Rising And An Air Quality Alert Posted, Pet Owners Get Out Early

It's only going to get hotter, so Jared Shelton brought his two dogs and a neighbor's dog to Groton's dog park early, hoping to wear the crew out.

Other people had the same idea.

"He's bull-headed," said Julene Dickinson of Leo, her Staffordshire terrier. "He doesn't care. We've been out there like an hour, and he still wants to run."
