'I ask for your patience and support during this time of transition'

Groton Board of Education Chairwoman Kirsten Hoyt posted this letter to parents on the school department website Friday:

Please be assured that the board of education, the central office cabinet, and the district administrators have complete faith in Mrs. Butler and the overall operation of Groton Public Schools.
I ask for your patience and support during this time of transition. While we face challenges ahead, I am confident that as a district we will persevere. With the great talent and dedication of our professional staff, we can assure you that we will successfully finish this school year and smoothly transition into the next.
