Larceny Suspect ID'd by Groton Police; Community Assists

A Groton liquor store was reportedly robbed the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Within 50 minutes of Groton Police posting a surveillance photograph of a man suspected of larceny at Groton Liquors, police said they identified the suspect.

Groton Liquors, located in the Sheetz Plaza at 591 Rte. 12, was reportedly stolen from at approximately 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23.

The suspect was described at being 5’9”, 180 lbs., 35-45 years of age and unshaven. Police asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and were able to do so on Thursday, Dec. 24.

“Thanks to your efforts, within 50 minutes of posting the surveillance photograph we have identified the suspect in the larceny from Goldstar Liquors,” the Town of Groton Police Department said via Facebook.

“Thanks again for working with us to make the community a better and safer place.”
