• Charges Against YouTuber Who Confronted State Trooper Changed: Report (patch.com) — Groton residents are learning that charges against YouTuber SeanPaul Reyes, who filmed a confrontation outside state trooper Sgt. Bryan Fahey’s Groton home, have been reduced to third-degree trespass. Earlier, more serious breach of peace and criminal trespass counts were dropped, while Fahey himself was suspended, retired, and faces a disorderly conduct charge tied to the same incident.
   

• Defense bill will boost CT contractors, including Electric Boat (ctmirror.org) — Major new defense funding is headed toward Groton’s Electric Boat shipyard, supporting Virginia- and Columbia-class submarine work and potentially bolstering local jobs and suppliers. Connecticut lawmakers backed the massive bill while debating its overall cost, added oversight of the Trump administration, and new protections for service members and Coast Guard cadets in nearby New London.
