Signs of Summer: Bikes, Boats and Baseball In Groton

The National Weather Service forecast another beautiful day today, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s.

On Wednesday, bikers and joggers hit the trails at Bluff Point, shipyard workers buffed and painted boats, and children enjoyed ice cream cones on a perfect spring day.

Roy Wrenn, who owns "Daystar" at the Noank Shipyard, worked on the boat Wednesday as it was buffed. Wrenn said he tries to get the boat in the water by Memorial Day, but it might go earlier this year.

"There's something about sitting out here that cures the soul," he said.
