'Bells for Boston' at Guilford Art Center

To honor and benefit the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, Guilford Art Center will be donating 100% of their proceeds from their sale of North Country's "Boston Harbor Bell" to "The One Fund Boston" for the entire month of May.

Guilford Art Center, with North Country Wind Bells, will be holding a special Bells for Boston offer in their shop to honor and benefit the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. During the month of May, the Center will donate 100% of their proceeds from the sales of North Country's "Boston Harbor Bell" to "The One Fund Boston." to help those affected by Monday's tragic events.

According to GAC's Press Release: Each bell measures 10 inches, is powder-coated to withstand the elements, and comes with a Whale’s Tail wind catcher that strikes the unique tone of the buoys of the Boston Harbor.  The item is $58.00 plus tax, and can also be shipped for an additional $5.00

The “The One Fund” was established by Boston's Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick immediately following the Marathon bombing for the victims of the tragedy.

“We all have Boston in our hearts, and so many people on the Connecticut shoreline have a connection to the city,” says Guilford Art Center Shop Administrator Allie Hyzak in a press release. “Hearing these bells can be a beautiful reminder of a great city and its citizens.”

In addition to Bells for Boston, the Center will also be sponsoring Cards for the Kids. They will provide art supplies in the school building lobby for kids to make cards for students at the Neighborhood House Charter School in Dorchester, MA, where Martin Richard, the youngest victim of the bombings, attended school.
