Long-Time Beloved Bridal Shop Is Closing Its Doors in Guilford

GUILFORD, CT — April Rose, one of the best known bridal shops on the shoreline for several decades, is going out of business. On its Facebook page, the owners of the 69 Boston Street store located in downtown Guilford had this to say:

"Announcing our Retirement.

"For 35 years, it was our honor to serve brides, mothers, bridesmaids, and members of the wedding party.

"We are grateful to our customers who through the years have trusted us to help make their dreams come true.

"We welcome you to come to our Retirement Sale. We are offering incredible prices on our brides and mothers dresses - as well as veils, headpieces, and jewelry.

"Thank you for the opportunity you have given us to be part of your most special celebrations."

Long-time patrons shared wonderful memories on social media of how the business made their weddings special.
