Guilford Author Excited About Amazon Launch
Peaceful Daily founder and Guilford resident Sandy Corso launched her self-published book Peace Salad last week on Amazon.

It was only fitting that the founder of Peaceful Daily launched her self-published book on the 4th anniversary of her online ‘destination for peaceful living.’ Her book, entitled Peace Salad: 100 Tips to Inspire a Peaceful Life, offers easy tips readers can use daily to lead a more healthy, peaceful and centered life.
“I’ve been writing tips everyday for four years on the site,” Sandy Corso told Guilford Patch. “I was always getting positive feedback on them, and so I wanted to put some of the best ones together in a concrete place where readers could always access them.”
While Corso had several publishers approach her about the book, she ultimately decided to self-publish.
“I didn’t want to wait all those years,” Corso explained. “I just sat down at my computer and went to work. It was a learning process to work through the publishing, but it also gave me the ability to put the book on Amazon.”
After landing on the popular shopping site, Peace Salad quickly jumped to the number 17 spot on the Mental & Spiritual Healing list. The title of the book came from the author’s love of salad.
“I absolutely love salad,” Corso said. “I am a salad freak! I want to do a cookbook at some point in the future, but not right now. But I thought this was a great name for this book.”
Corso launched Peaceful Daily after moving to Guilford from Los Angelos. The site now has over 50,000 readers and contributes from all over the world.
“It was a bit of a culture shock, coming from LA to here,” Corso said. “But my husband and I wanted to start a family and this town is such a great place to raise kids.”
So what can you expect if you flip open a copy of Peace Salad?
“I knew readers responded well to quick tips that are really doable,” Corso said. “Nothing to detailed or hard to digest. The tagline of Peaceful Daily is to 'Think good. Eat whole. Walk far.' The tips keep to that.”
Other than Amazon, you can also purchase the book at Flutterby. If you want to get your copy signed, you can also swing by Flutterby on April 27 from 5 PM to 8 PM for a book signing with Corso, featuring organic wine, vegan aux d'oeuvres, and music by Sal and his Love Tribe.
