Guilford P&Z Votes Down LED Billboard
In a late night meeting on Wednesday, Planning and Zoning ultimately voted against the zone change request that would have allowed the conversion of an billboard in Guilford to a light up LED billboard.

According to Planning and Zoning Commission member Walter Corbiere's announcement on Patch, the Commission has voted down the Light Up LED Billboard conversion in Guilford. Here's what he said:
This evening at about 10:30pm the Guilford Planning and Zoning Commission denied a zoning change request that would have allowed conversion of billboards in Guilford to LED under certain conditions.
This vote came on the heels of a public hearing on the issue a few weeks ago. The applicant, CBS Outdoor, hoped to convert one of their existing billboards into an LED billboard. Several residents spoke out against the issue at the hearing, and the commission received 67 letters in opposition to the application.
