Guilford's Holiday House Decorating Contest Coming Soon!
If you love the holidays and love to decorate, make sure to register your house for this contest and you could win some Guilford Dollars! But hurry, the deadline to register is by Monday, Dec. 17th.
Guilford Parks and Recreation Department is holding their Holiday House Decorating Contest next week. If you love to deck your house out in holiday cheer, this is a contest for you!
According to the town's Facebook Page, houses will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity, beauty, holiday spirit, humor, etc. Prizes awarded for the contest are Guilford Dollars and are as follows:

1st Prize: $100
2nd Prize: $75

3rd Prize: $50
Houses will be judged December 17th to December 21st between 6:30 and 9:00 PM. Remember, lights must be visible from the street!
"It is a lot of fun to see the houses that put so much effort into decorating for the holiday season," Ellen Clow, Recreation Supervisor at the Parks and Recreation Department, shared with Guilford Patch. "We would like to be able to post a picture of those that enter their house on the town's Facebook page for others to enjoy."
In order to be eligible for the contest, you need to register by Monday, December 17th. You can register online, or call the department at (203) 453-8068. The Program reference number is #11102.
