Here Are The Deadlines To Register To Vote In Guilford For The Upcoming Election

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford residents planning to vote in the Nov. 4 municipal election face upcoming deadlines to register, with several options still available in person and online.

Friday, Oct. 17, is the last day to register by mail, which must be postmarked by that date. It is also the deadline to register through the Department of Motor Vehicles by the close of business and online at www.voterregistration.ct.gov by 11:59 p.m. Voters may also register in person at the Registrar of Voters office at Guilford Town Hall, 31 Park St., until 8 p.m.

For those who miss the Oct. 17 deadline, same-day registration will be offered during early voting. Registration is available in person every day of early voting at the Registrar of Voters office on the first floor of Town Hall, which is accessible at the rear of the building.

Early voting runs from Oct. 20 through Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours will be extended to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 and Oct. 30.

Voters who are not registered by the end of early voting will still have one final opportunity on Election Day itself. Same-day registration will be available at Guilford Town Hall from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 4.
