Honor Vietnam Vets at Guilford Fairgrounds This Weekend

'Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day' - a celebration for all who served - will be held this Sunday at the Guilford Fairgrounds featuring music, games, vendors, raffles, antique fire trucks and police cars, street rods, and more!

'Welcome Home Veterans Day,' a CT tradition since 2010, will be celebrated again this year at the Guilford Fairgrounds Sunday, April 21, hosted by the WHVVD-CT committee.

The event will feature live music, games, retail and food vendors, tons of classic and custom cars and motorcycles, and more at 111 Lovers Lane in town. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawnchair to enjoy the music.

The car show will be held from 10 AM to 3 PM, and the Welcome Home Ceremonies will take place from 12 PM to 2 PM. Best of all? The event is free and open to the entire community.

According to the committee's website, here's the invitation they are extending to the community:

We invite the entire community to participate in this historical event as we officially pick up the pieces of the past and thank our Vietnam Veterans with a long overdue welcome home.

Together we can make a difference for all Vietnam Veterans by showing that we appreciate their sacrifices. Please join us as we move back in history and remember that we must work to never repeat the mistakes of the past. As we move forward in this grand celebration, let us remember to thank all Veterans, past, present and future for their commitment to our great Nation.

If you're looking for more information on the event you can email the committee or visit their website. Show cars are a $10 entry fee!
