Moo-ve Over Burger Joints & Make Room, There's A New Bun In Town
As promised back in May, a MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes opens Monday in Guilford.

GUILFORD, CT — As promised in May, the Texas-based burger chain MOOYAH opens its doors Monday in Guilford Commons.
Owners Nesh and Kal Patel, brothers-in-law and business partners, told Patch they've been looking forward to opening day.
“We’re so excited to bring MOOYAH to the Guilford community," the Patels said. "We’ve been anticipating this opening and cannot wait to see the expression on Guests’ faces when they take their first bite of a MOOYAH burger.”

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes specializes in made-to-order "better" fresh certified Angus beef, black-bean veggie burgers and turkey burgers, beef hot dogs, salads, hand-cut fries and milk shakes. The chain serves what are called "lifestyle burgers" and include Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Low-Cal, and gluten-free.
Open Monday at 11 a.m., the new eatery closes at 9 p.m. Following COVID-19 guidelines, it will operate at a 50 percent capacity in its dining room open, masks are required for on guests and team members, 6-foot social distancing rules are in place. Staff members have their temperatures taken before all shifts, "timed sanitizing procedures" are in place and there's a plexiglass separation at the register.

Some specials, the Patels said, include their "Campfire Menu," with campfire burgers and s'mores milkshakes.
The Patels said 25 people were hired from the Guilford area.
