Nearly 3 Years Of COVID Takeout, Mr. J Asian Bistro Opens For Dining

GUILFORD, CT — For a decade, Mr. J Asian Bistro has a popular Guilford eatery, serving up Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisine.

But the pandemic did to Mr. J's what it did to so many other restaurants: it closed its door to in-person dining. Now, after years of take-out only, the dining room is open.

"Our dining room, sushi bar and full bar are open after nearly three years of only takeout due to COVID-19 and staff shortages," said Wayne and Lynn Chen. "We’re very excited and want everyone to know that we’re back."

Mr. J's business hours are Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sundays noon to 9 p.m. Its lunch specials are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
