Why are you seeking this office?
I grew up in Guilford and returned here after college to start, and raise a family. I love this town and want to do my part to keep Guilford the great place that it is today.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Affordability. I intent to support any proposed development of more affordable housing in Guilford. I also intend to work with the board to spend responsibly and maintain our strong bond rating that keeps our tax increases well below the national average levels of inflation.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Because I am currently raising my family in Guilford, I have first hand experience with many of the issues that other families with young children are facing in our town.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I intend to always fight for our schools and town services; particularly those for kids.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Active member of the community as a Little League coach, Cub Scout den leader, and active volunteer at my children's school. I am ready to contribute to our town at a higher level.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Say what you mean, and mean what you say!
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am a lifelong resident of Guilford, and that's not an accident! I plan on doing what I can to make sure that others feel the same way I do about our town.
