Pizza Bagel Fundraiser In Guilford To Support Families Of Hospitalized Children

GUILFORD, CT — A one-day community food fundraiser featuring a collaboration between Pasta Avest & Pizzeria and Cohen’s Bagel Company will be held Jan. 10 in Guilford to support families of hospitalized children.

The event, the "Pizza Bagel Fundraiser: Avest Pizza x Cohen’s Bagels for Feeding Families Foundation," is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at Pasta Avest & Pizzeria, 680 Boston Post Road.

Proceeds from the sale of limited-edition pizza bagels will benefit the Feeding Families Foundation, a Connecticut-based nonprofit that covers meal costs for parents and caregivers of pediatric patients so they can remain close to their children while they are in the hospital.

Organizers said a $25 box will include three pizza bagel flavors: pepperoni hot honey on vodka sauce, garlic knot, and fresh tomato and mozzarella with a pesto drizzle.

The event will also include participation from the New Haven Pizza Club and a special appearance by the Apizza Mobile Lounge.
