A press release from the Town of Guilford:

Your safety is our concern. Early warning saves lives and property.

That is why the Town of Guilford wants to make sure you know about emergencies and incidents as they happen.

The Town of Guilford will use the Guilford Mass Notification System powered by Everbridge, to let you know about issues that may affect your safety.  Receive important messages from the Town of Guilford any way you want‐ by telephone, text, and/or e‐mail. This way we can reach you in any emergency.

We may also use the system in non‐emergency situations to let you know about important town‐related events, road closures, crime watch alerts, or public works projects.

How does it work? The process begins when the Town issues a message about a potential safety hazard or concern. Guilford Mass Notification System dials your main contact number or sends an e‐mail. If you don’t confirm receipt of the message, the system will try to reach your next contact number or e‐mail. The system will continue trying to contact you until it receives a confirmation from you.

The success of this service relies on YOU. Having your most recent contact information is the only way to ensure that we can contact you in an emergency.  To sign up, please visit the Town’s website: www.ci.guilford.ct.us and look for the Guilford Mass Notification link to the Everbridge system.
