Hamden Fest 2025: Details Announced For Annual Event

HAMDEN, CT – Kicking off the summer season, the 6th Annual Hamden Fest will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 at Hamden’s Town Center Park.

“Presented by the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Hamden, the event celebrates all things local with a full day of entertainment, activities, and community engagement,” organizers wrote in a news release. “There is something for everyone!

“More than 8,000 people attended last year’s event, and this year promises to be even bigger.”

The day will feature the Hamden Fest Half Marathon and 5K Road Race, the 20th Annual Business Expo, an expansive Arts, Craft & Civic Fair, the Kids & Sports Zone, and a wide range of community service and nonprofit booths.

Live music kicks off at 11 a.m. with The Liz McNicholl Band, followed by a performance from School of Rock Milford beginning at 2 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of food trucks and local food and beverage vendors.

In addition to the outdoor festivities, the Friends of the Miller Memorial Library will host their biggest Book Sale of the year in the Miller Memorial Auditorium. The sale begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, and will feature thousands of gently used books, CD’s, DVDs, and more for all ages.

A special Preview Sale will take place on Friday, June 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering early access to the best selections.

“This event truly showcases the heart of Hamden,” Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce President Nancy Dudchik said. “It’s a great day to celebrate our businesses, artists, and everything that makes our community vibrant and unique.”

Now in its third year, the Hamden Fest Half Marathon will take place entirely on the scenic Farmington Canal Trail right at Hamden Town Center Park. Both the half marathon and the 5K race offer runners and walkers a safe and beautiful route on the paved trail.

The Half Marathon begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K Race at 9:30 a.m. For more information and to register, visit www.teammossman.com.
