Hamden Obituaries: William Barnard Caveness, 47

William Barnard Caveness, 47, of Hamden, departed this life March 20, 2013. He was the husband of Kisha Gibbs Caveness.

Born in Asheboro, NC, February 2, 1966, he was the son of Willie Caveness, Jr. (Agnes) and Arletha Badger (Robert).

Mr. Caveness was an Army veteran and was employed at Manafort Bros. as a Construction Supervisor.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Zuri, Ayahna and Kalynn Caveness, Lonisha Jackson (stepdaughter) and Chaylene, Shakeita, and Courtney Jones; sisters, Tanisha Bundy and Kimberly Chavis; mother in-law, Junie Johnson; sister in-law, Crystal Gibbs; grandchildren, Ke'Andre and Qu'Ron Copeland and Dy'moun Talbert; special god sister, Whilamenia Butler; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Mr. Caveness' life and legacy will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery..
