Hamden Summer Youth Employment Available
Hamden Youth Services Bureau will accept applications for summer youth employment on May 10, 2-5:30 p.m. & May 11, 2-4:30 p.m.

From Hamden Youth Services Bureau: Hamden Youth Services Bureau will be accepting applications for summer youth employment on Wednesday, May 10th, 2:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 11th 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Youth Services’ offices located in the Keefe Community Center, 11 Pine Street in Hamden. Applicants must sign-in with a Youth Services employee and then will be called on a first come first serve basis for a screening and brief interview. Youth should come dressed appropriately for an interview.
In order to be eligible for these summer jobs, youth must be at least 14 years of age by July 1st, 2017 and be acurrent High School student. In addition, youth must qualify for and provide proof of free or reduced lunch and/or receive special education services. In addition, youth must provide copies of their birth certificate, social security card, last four weeks of household income and proof of Hamden residency along with a completed and signed application. Announcements will be made and students may pick up applications at the Hamden High School guidance office. If you are not a student at Hamden High School but are a Hamden resident and meet all other qualifications, you may pick up an application at the Hamden Youth Services Bureau’s main office at 11 Pine Street (in the Keefe Community Center), starting April 21st. There are a very limited number of applications available.
Jobs will run for approximately four weeks, starting Friday, July 7, 2017 through Friday, August 4, 2017. The weekly hours will range from 15-25. Youth will be placed in both non profit and for profit organizations and businesses, as well as municipal departments. Job placements include retail, schools, childcare and offices.
There are a limited number of applications being distributed. First come first served.
