Hamden Youth Services Bureau Offering Two-Day Red Cross Babysitting Class
Space is limited to register now to assure yourself a seat.

The Town of Hamden Youth Services Bureau will be offering a two-day Red Cross certified instructional babysitting class for youth ages 11 to 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 and Friday, Feb. 22 in room 101 at the Board of Education, 60 Putnam Ave., Hamden.
This class will be taught by Hamden Youth Services' Outreach Counselor Beth Chiarillo, who is a certified American Red Cross Babysitting Instructor. The course will provide students with basic information required to responsibly care for children, including feeding and diapering, as well as emergency techniques necessary to ensure a safe environment.

Registration fee for the two-day training is $60 for Hamden residents, $30 for paid Hamden Youth Center members and $70 for non-residents, non refundable fee, paid in full at the time of registration (includes the Babysitter's Training Handbook with CD-ROM and the certificate).
Because of limited capacity, all participants must register in advance, first come first served. Registration forms are available at the Hamden Youth Services Bureau, Keefe Community Center 11 Pine Street, Hamden, or on-line at www.hamden.com under events.
