Obituary: Elizabeth “Betty” A. Regan, 91, of Hamden

Betty, affectionately known as "Betty Boop", was a longtime employee of SNET and was very active in local Irish Clubs.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home) Elizabeth “Betty” A. Regan, 91, passed away on Nov. 28, 2021. Born in Quincy, MA on August 2, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur M. & Olga J. (Erickson) Regan.

Betty is survived by her brother Charles A. Regan of NYC; nieces Tracy Stewart, Wendy Lewis, and Laurie Smith; and nephew William C. Colrus.

She was predeceased by her sister Constance Agnes Colrus.

A graduate of St. Mary’s Church Grammar School, Betty was a resident of Newhallville and Hamden most of her life.

She was a longtime employee of Southern New England Telephone Co. and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Known as “Betty Boop”, she was always active in local Irish Clubs.

Friends may attend her Graveside Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in All Saints Cemetery, Section 14, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.
