Obituary: George Allan Cofrancesco, 65, formerly of Hamden
George enjoyed a successful career as an accountant, was heavily involved in the community and was a loving and devoted family man.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) George Allan Cofrancesco, 65, of Meriden, husband of Deborah “Debbie” (Lage) Cofrancesco, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26, 2021, at home in his sleep surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 4, 1955, he was the son of the late George William and Marie (Marra) Cofrancesco of Hamden.
He graduated from Hamden High School and Quinnipiac University, majoring in accounting.
He was the accountant at Oronoque Village Condominium Association in Stratford for many years.
During his life, George coached girls’ softball, boys’ little league baseball, and was a Boy Scout leader.
He enjoyed watching baseball and football, his favorite team being the Baltimore Orioles. George loved reading books and watching documentaries about American and military history, traveling with his family, and listening to oldies and Italian music.
As a man of deep faith, he was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden and deepened his spiritual faith by watching the daily Mass on TV. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, for whom he was a strong and courageous role model.
Surviving besides his wife, Debbie, is his son, Brian and his wife, Kate; his daughter, Alanna; his brother, Donald Cofrancesco; his Godmother, Eleanor Pesanelli; and many other loving family members.
His family would like to thank Dr. Alfred Vichot, Dr. John D’Avella, Starling Nephrology Group, and Hartford Transplant Associates for the outstanding care George received over many years.
George’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 4 pm until 7 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center Street, Meriden, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10 am. (The family requests that all guests wear face coverings at all services.)
Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden.
