Nena, a loving, strong, hardworking woman and always willing to lend a hand, dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren.
HAMDEN, CT - (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home) In loving memory of our dear mother and grandmother Maria Elena Gonzalez (Nena), born September 9th 1934, died February 23rd 2021.
A loving, strong, and hardworking woman, Nena dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. Always generous and willing to lend a helping hand, she was loved by all who knew and had the fortune to spend time with her.
Nena loved to cook, crochet, garden, tend to her roses, and watch action movies. Her greatest loves were her grandchildren and her dogs who she loved like her own children.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 1, 2021 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue from 8:30am-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am.
Burial will follow at Hamden Plains Cemetery.
