Obituary: Michael Crocco, 72, of Hamden

Michael was the co-owner and operator of C&M Crocco Heating & Cooling and a member of the Hamden Democratic Town Committee District 7.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Michael Crocco, 72, of Hamden, died peacefully Feb. 13th at the Landing North Haven, after a long illness.

He was the husband of the late Paula Grillo Crocco. Mike was born in Cusano Mutri, Italy March 10, 1948, son of the late Emilio & Anastasia Creta Crocco and resided in Hamden most of his life.

He was a M.P. for the Army during Vietnam.

Together with his brother Carmine they started C&M Crocco Heating & Cooling in 1981, retiring in 2018.

He was a member of the Hamden Democratic Town Committee District 7 and Dunbar Hill Civic Association.

Mike enjoyed being with people, good food, good friends, and good conversation.

His son and grandchildren were his world. He never missed a chance to watch Mike wrestle, Lio play baseball, or Bella play basketball.

He is survived by a son Michael E.(Kimberly) Crocco of North Haven, a brother Pasquale(Lucia) Crocco of Hamden, grandchildren; Emilio(Lio), Bella, and looking forward to the upcoming arrival of his 3rd, Gia.

Uncle to Alvin (Jackie) & David (Christina) Crocco, great uncle to Matthew, Victoria, Nicholas and Ryan Crocco.

Godfather to Matthew Cuomo.

Also survived by a sister in law Nancy Crocco and many relatives here and in Italy.

He was predeceased by his brother Carmine.

The family would like to thank all his dear friends who supported him throughout his illness especially John DeRosa, Rosario Valentino, Michele Mastropetre, Joseph Ciarleglio, his HomeAide and all the staff at the Landing.

Friends are invited to a graveside service FRIDAY Feb. 26, at 12:00 in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
