Rose was a graduate of Hillhouse High School Class of 1945. She never missed attending her class reunions or luncheons with her Hillhouse girls group. Working at Stanley’s in Downtown New Haven is where she developed her love for fashion. Rose was a long time member of the Farms Country Club where she was an avid golfer and bowler. Many were generously blessed by Rose’s wisdom and infectious laughter. She was a wonderful hostess who enjoyed cooking and baking for all occasions. You could often find her in the company of her nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friends at her favorite local establishments. Music brought her joy and most have been lucky to have been serenaded by her show-stopping musical talent. Rose will be remembered for her lust for life and her genuine effortless love for everyone she met. She had a true heart of gold that she shared abundantly. Rose’s family would like to thank the EP 6-7 doctors, nurses, and PCAs at Yale New Haven Hospital, the Yale Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Attendings, and all the caring staff at Connecticut Hospice of Branford.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd., East Haven Wednesday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
