Paradise Avenue Home Burglarized; Police Warn Residents to Lock Doors and Windows
Someone broke into the home and stole money early Tuesday morning, according to police.

A Paradise Avenue resident got a rude awakening early Tuesday morning when he awoke to someone shining a flashlight through his window.
It was about 3:45 a.m. when the man saw the light through a side window, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith. He also saw someone running through his backyard, Smith said.
When officers got there, they found a patio chair poised under an open rear window of a neighboring house, Smith said. Officers announced their presence in that yard, Smith said, which awoke the two residents of that home. They unknowingly had been burglarized while they slept, Smith said.
