Student Spotlight: Academic Achievements of Hamden Residents

See who made the Dean's List, Honor Roll or achieved high marks in recent days.

 

Hamden residents Lisa DeCrescenteNicholas Guay and Richard Swartwout were named to the Dean's list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the Fall 2012 semester. The dean's list recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below "C."

Sarah Oppenheim, of Hamden, has been placed on the Gettysburg College Dean's Honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2012 semester. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Dean's Honor List.

Jon Moore of Hamden, a third-year student in Rochester Institute of Technology's College of Applied Science and Technology, made the Dean's List for the Winter 2013 quarter.

Hamden residents Erica Weston and Jaime Gelman from Colgate University were recipients of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University. To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve a minumum 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses.

Walker Sachner, a student in the 5th form (11th-grade) at Kent School in Kent, Connecticut, was named to the honor roll for the fall term of 2012-2013. Sachner is the child of Isabel Chenoweth of Hamden and S. Peter Sachner of North Haven.
