2 Crashes On I-84 In East Hartford Cleared: UPDATE

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Two crashes on Interstate 84 in East Hartford caused traffic issues for early morning motorists Friday, according to the state Department of Transportation, but both are now cleared.

The DOT reports a single vehicle crashed on I-84 West between exits 59 and 58, resulting in the closure of the left lane.

That accident was first reported at 4:57 a.m., and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report..

Meanwhile, further down I-84 West in East Hartford, the HOV lane was closed due to another single-vehicle accident earlier in the morning.

The DOT reports that the crash was beyond the Buckland Street entry onto I-84, but it has now been cleared.

The accident was first reported at 4:40 a.m. and is no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.

These accidents occurred as I-84 East in West Hartford was closed due to a tractor-trailer rollover early Friday morning.
