2 Hospitalized In Unrelated Hartford Shootings: Police

Both victims are expected to survive after they were shot on Wednesday afternoon and overnight Thursday in Hartford, police said.

HARTFORD, CT — Two men are hospitalized after unrelated shootings in Hartford on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, police said.

Officers were alerted to the first shooting at around 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, when they were dispatched to the area of 160 Nelson St. via ShotSpotter activation.

There, they found a man in his twenties suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Though officers don't have the victim's official condition, Lt. Aaron Boisvert said it is believed that he will survive.

At around 12:43 a.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to the area of 58 Oakland Terr. on another ShotSpotter activation, and they found a man in his thirties suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was alert and conscious at the scene, police said, and was taken to a local hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

No other information about the shootings was available, though the Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions have assumed an investigation into each of them.
