The All Habitat Services of Branford larvicide program includes regular inspections of high breeding site locations.

While not all mosquitoes carry diseases, the city suggests residents take precautions to minimize their exposure to mosquito bites. These measures include:

• Wearing long, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.

• Wearing insect repellents according to product labels.

• Installing, inspecting, and repairing window and door screens in homes and stables.

• Regularly cleaning bird baths and bowls for pet food and water.

• Removing or emptying all water-holding containers.
