Special Tour To Show Hartford's Large Public Art Scene, How To Take It

HARTFORD, CT – RiseUP for Arts, Connecticut’s leading statewide public art nonprofit, invites the community to join an upcoming public art tour showcasing murals and projects in Hartford this week.

Guests are invited to explore Hartford’s remarkable murals and public art installations during a guided walking tour through the city's downtown.

The stroll concludes on Pratt Street with complimentary drinks and bites at Hartford Flavor Co.

It will all take place on Wednesday, April 23, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The tour starts at the LAZ Parking Lot, 300 Market St., Hartford, with tickets and information available at this link.

A similar tour is also planned this week in Bridgeport.

“These tours celebrate the unique stories of Connecticut’s urban landscapes and the creativity of local artists. We invite community members and visitors to experience the transformative power of public art in Hartford and Bridgeport,” said Matt Conway, executive director of RiseUP for Arts.

The tours are family-friendly and open to the public. Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to reserve their spots early.

RiseUP for Arts is Connecticut’s statewide public art nonprofit, dedicated to empowering communities through creativity, youth engagement, and public art initiatives. Since 2015, RiseUP has completed over 300 murals and public art projects across Connecticut.
