Hartford PD To Crack Down With DUI Checkpoint Tonight
The effort is part of the department's regular campaign to enforce drunk driving laws in the city.
HARTFORD, CT — City police will be cracking down on drunk drivers at a special checkpoint in Hartford that will be set up later today.
The Hartford Police Department Traffic Division said it will conduct a DUI enforcement checkpoint on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
It will take place near 212 Capen St., Hartford.

"This checkpoint is part of HPD’s ongoing OUI enforcement efforts and is funded through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation OUI Enforcement Program," wrote the HPD.
