Vehicle Crash Cleared In Hartford: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — A serious crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford Thursday afternoon snarled traffic, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it has since been cleared.

The DOT reports the crash was on I-84 East between exits 44 and 46, resulting in the closure of the right and center lanes of travel.

It had caused a 2.8-mile traffic backup, according to the DOT.

The accident was first reported at 2:09 p.m., and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
