Dragonboats To Take Over Connecticut River In Hartford
The annual Riverfront Dragon Boat & Asian Festival will take place this weekend in Hartford.
That's when Hartford-based "Riverfront Recapture" will host its annual Riverfront Dragon Boat & Asian Festival.
Sponsored by Mohegan Sun Online Casino, this event will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, 300 Columbus Blvd., Hartford.

This event will feature Asian and Pacific Island cultures through music, dance, hands-on art activities, food, and martial arts demonstrations.
But the event's highlight is the dragonboat races, where community teams race large, paddle-powered boats decorated with an Asian theme.

Free parking is available on both sides of the river, and paid parking is available in the nearby Connecticut Convention Center parking garage.
Riverfront Recapture is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981 to manage, maintain, and operate four Connecticut River parks and their connected riverwalks and trails.
