Greater Hartford Schools Make U.S. News' Top 100 High Schools In CT

The annual survey ranks all high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

GREATER HARTFORD, CT — U.S. News & World Report's annual high school ranking have come out, with high schools nationally and statewide making the list, including four magnet high schools in the greater Hartford area.

• The Achievement First Hartford Academy, 305 Greenfield St., Hartford, was ranked 13th in Connecticut and 531st in the U.S.

• University High School of Science and Engineering, 351 Mark Twain Drive, Hartford, was ranked 38th in Connecticut and 1,815 in the country.

• Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, 53 Vernon St., Hartford, was 81st in Connecticut and 3,948th in the state.

• Pathways Academy of Technology and Design, 2 Pent Road, East Hartford, was 84th in Connecticut and 4,085th in the U.S.

According to the magazine, the U.S. News rankings include data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia.

"In addition to traditional high schools, the rankings encompass charter; magnet; and science, technology, engineering and math-focused schools. Discover how your school stacks up against thousands around the country," wrote U.S. News via its website.
