HARTFORD--A local school official released a public apology to staff members on Monday, telling them she was sorry for the way she handled an allegation of alleged misconduct with a school employee and minor.
The Hartford Courant reports that Gislaine Ngounou, the Hartford School Superintendent's Chief of Staff, sent an email letter to all staffers on Monday. In the email, she stated that she took responsibility for the way she handled the allegation of potential misconduct with a school employee and a minor.
The Courant reports that Ngounou was notified via text message from Aaron Lewis, President of The Scribe's Institute, back in March of in appropriate contact between an unnamed school employee and unnamed minor.
Currently, according to The Courant, Hartford Police are investigating Eduardo Genao, a school administrator. The Courant reports that he resigned his position and that he is the target of a criminal probe.
