Hartford Teens Get Crash Course On Fiscal Literacy
60 teens earlier this month participated in a financial training program hosted by a local nonprofit and a statewide credit union.

HARTFORD, CT — As parents of teens can attest, young people's knowledge of fiscal management typically matures only to the point where it is realized that money doesn't grow on trees.
But a recent program by a statewide credit union and a Hartford-based nonprofit allowed dozens of participating Hartford teens to learn a thing or two about the almighty dollar.
American Eagle Financial Credit Union recently partnered with Community Renewal Team, Inc.,to provide an immersive financial education training program to nearly 60 teens participating in CRT’s Summer Youth Employment and Learning Program.
