Hartford's 'Family Fun Day' Saturday More Than Just A Celebration
The event is being hosted on Saturday, Aug. 2, by the Hartford Department of Health and Human Services.
HARTFORD, CT — A city-sponsored event this Saturday may be called "Family Fun Day," but it is so much more than that.
Organized by the City of Hartford Department of Health and Human Services, "Family Fun Day" will take place at the department's 131 Coventry St., Hartford, headquarters on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There, families will enjoy myriad activities ranging from games, food, music, vendors, live entertainment, raffles, and more.

Part of the "more" includes booths touting the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and early childhood education, making "Fun Day" and "learning day" for parents and children.
The free event strives to "build strong communities and bright futures," wrote the city.

"Bring the whole family for a day filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories," wrote the City of Hartford.
In addition, the event will feature school supply giveaways while supplies last.
