Crash On I-84 In Hartford Now Cleared: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — A two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 84 in Hartford Tuesday morning caused major traffic headaches for commuters, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports that the crash occurred on I-84 East between exits 48 and 49, resulting in the closure of the two left lanes in that area.

According to the DOT, this had resulted in a 3.8-mile traffic backup between exits 43 and 49.

The accident was first reported at 6:22 a.m., and it was cleared not long after 7 a.m., with the accident no longer being on the DOT's incident report list.
