Man Charged In Fatal Hartford Hit-And-Run: Reports
The 24-year-old suspect is accused of killing a bicyclist in Hartford back in October 2024.
HARTFORD, CT — A New Britain Man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a bicyclist in Hartford in October 2024.
According to WTNH Channel 8, Jhaki J. Gunter, 24, turned himself in to the Hartford Police Department on Tuesday and was charged in connection with the incident.
The hit-and-run happened early in the morning on Oct. 20, 2024, on Albany Avenue after a vehicle slammed a bicyclist.

Killed, WTNH reported, was Roosevelt Vann Jr., 27, who was found lying in the roadway.
WVIT Channel 30 said Gunter was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility with death, reckless driving, failure to drive in a proper lane, failure to obey a traffic control signal, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of license or registration.
