BLOOMFIELD, CT — State police have accused a Bloomfield man of regularly posting videos of "reckless" motorcycle activities throughout Connecticut, including riding at 190 miles an hour.

Connecticut State Police at Troop H in Hartford on Tuesday, April 8, charged Brice Bennett, 22, of Bloomfield, with reckless driving; failure to maintain lane; and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He was released from custody after posting $5,000 bond and will appear in Hartford Superior Court on April 29, police said.

State police said the charges come after an extensive probe by the Central District Major Crime Squad, which on December 20, 2024, was assigned to investigate complaints of reckless motorcycle operations on highways throughout the state.

Police said the incidents were taking place regularly, with the operator using a helmet-mounted camera to film his activities and upload them to social media.

During the investigation, police said they were able to identify Bennett as the suspect.

As a result, police obtained numerous search-and-seizure warrants of Bennett's social media platforms, "confirming he was the operator recording the reckless operation," police said Wednesday.

According to police, the videos showed Bennett operating at speeds of more than 190 miles per hour.

Following the probe, a warrant for Bennett's arrest was sought and granted.
