New Hartford Gym Will Offer 'Highly Personalized' Classes
Called btone FITNESS, the studio hosts total-body classes lasting 45 minutes. It soft-launched this month, with a grand opening on May 16.
HARTFORD, CT — A new gym is opening in downtown Hartford this month, and it offers 45-minute classes designed to provide a total-body workout.
Called btone FITNESS, the 2,128-square-foot studio is located at 111 Pearl St., Hartford (at the corner of Trumbull Street). It soft-launched on May 1, with an official grand opening slated for May 16.
The gym has 10 machines that officials said will "ensure a highly personalized class where clients will feel comfortable." The machines are exclusive to the company, and officials said they allow clients to modify their workouts based on their fitness level and goals.

Hartford's btone FITNESS is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Adam Kinson and Emily Walsh. Walsh, who is from the Hartford area, said she and her husband "couldn't be more excited" to be opening the studio.
"Although our process was delayed because of COVID, we think our opening timing now is even better since workers, commuters and local residents are all itching to return to a normal health and wellness routine," Walsh said.

The studio is offering introductory specials over the next two weeks, including:
- 5 classes for $89
- 8 classes for $119
- Mock btone training classes for a $5 donation, with the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit KNOX
Hartford's btone FITNESS is the company's 12th studio, and its first in Connecticut (the other studios are in the Boston area, though the company plans to expand to Cape Cod and Providence, Rhode Island as well).
"Hartford is such an exciting market for us, since there's nothing like btone being offered to those who live and work in the area," btone founder Jody Merrill said in a statement. "We couldn't be happier with our newest location and know this studio will be in high-demand from the get-go as more workers and commuters return to the offices that are near our new studio."
