1 Dead After Fire Rips Through Hartford Apartment Building: Reports
The Monday night inferno badly damaged a senior citizen apartment complex in the city.
HARTFORD, CT — One person is dead after a fire tore through a senior citizen apartment building in Hartford Monday night.
According to WFSB Channel 3, the fire, which started at about 9 p.m., destroyed one room on the fifth floor of a building on Prospect Avenue.
The victim was found inside the apartment unit where the fire started, WFSB reported.

WVIT Channel 30 reported the fire was at 636 Prospect Ave., which is the Juniper House Senior Living site. Juniper Hill is a 72-unit complex.
Another person was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, WVIT reported, citing the Hartford Fire Department.
