Portly Pig Opening Second Hartford Location: Report

The restaurant, which currently only exists inside Parkville Market, will open another eatery downtown, the Hartford Courant reported.

HARTFORD, CT — The Portly Pig, the barbecue restaurant currently located inside Parkville Market, will open a second location in downtown Hartford later this year, the Hartford Courant reported.

Owner Jonathon Shivick plans to open the new restaurant in the 100 Trumbull St. building — taking up the former home of a Quiznos sandwich shop and the vacant space next door, according to the newspaper.

The restaurant is slated to open this fall and will have an expanded menu, Shivick told the Courant.
