Prominent Hartford Hospital Earns National Ranking
The hospital was named as a 'Best Regional Hospital' in U.S. News & World Report.

HARTFORD, CT — A prominent Hartford hospital has been named to a well-known rankings list for regional hospitals.
Saint Francis Hospital was recently named by U.S. News & World Report as a "Best Regional Hospital," marking the 13th consecutive year on the list.

Saint Francis, located at 114 Woodland St., Hartford, was also recognized as a "High Performing" hospital in multiple specialties, including heart bypass surgery, colon cancer surgery, hip and knee surgeries, and multiple cancer surgeries, among others.
“We are incredibly proud that once again, Saint Francis Hospital is being recognized as a Best Regional Hospital,” said Valerie Powell-Stafford, president of Saint Francis.

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals’ performance on objective measures such as risk-
adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and the level of nursing care.

analysis and managing editor at U.S. News. “These local hospital rankings, entirely performance-driven, equip individuals and their families, in consultation with their medical providers, to choose the highest quality care available in their own communities.”
