Greater Hartford Project Targets Bicyclists/Pedestrians, Tell Them What You Think

The Hartford-based group, which serves 38 towns in the Greater Hartford area, wants folks to weigh in on a regional bicycle/pedestrian plan.

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is developing a bicycle and pedestrian network and implementation plan for the 38 municipalities in the greater Hartford region.

Members of those communities are invited to attend the first planned virtual public meeting of the so-called "Priority Pathways Plan" on Tuesday, April 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

During the meeting, participants will hear about the plan and schedule, and the benefits of developing a bicycle and pedestrian network in the region.

Community feedback is encouraged.

CRCOG is based in Hartford, but it includes 37 other towns in the area as part of the community it serves.

It works with member towns to "initiate and implement regional programs and initiatives to benefit our member towns and the region," according to its website.
