A regional planning agency wants to hear from its member towns about what folks think of their roads and whether they're safe or not.

As a result, the Hartford-based Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) invites the public to participate in its Regional Roadway Safety survey.

The purpose is to understand travel patterns and gather opinions on roadway safety.

Survey participants who leave their email addresses will automatically be entered into a raffle for a $5 Dunkin or a $25 Visa gift card.

The project is funded through a USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant to supplement the Regional Transportation Safety Plan.

The SS4A grant program aims to strengthen local safety planning through the Safe System Approach and its Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.

CRCOG municipalities seeking future SS4A implementation grant funds are required to have an Action Plan.
