Legendary West Coast Restaurant Opens 1st CT Location

MASHANTUCKET, CT — Fatburger is one of three West Coast eateries opening their doors in southeastern Connecticut. It comes as part of three combined restaurants that recently opened at Great Wolf Lodge at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Buffalo’s Express and Hot Dog on a Stick are operating alongside Fatburger as a single tri-branded location at the new family-oriented water park resort.

Previously, the closest Fatburger location was in New Jersey. The chain's been around for 70 years and features customizable burgers, crispy fries, and hand-scooped shakes. The popular franchise has been tied to celebrities like Magic Johnson and Kanye West.

The new restaurant offers a range of menu items from all three brands. Buffalo’s Express offers chicken wings and tenders, while Hot Dog on a Stick serves its namesake corn dogs, cheese sticks, funnel cake sticks, and hand-stomped lemonade.

The food court-style eatery is located within the Great Wolf Lodge, which includes a massive indoor water park, family attractions, and hotel accommodations. The 13-acre resort sits adjacent to Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Jake Berchtold, chief operating officer for the three food brands, said in a statement that the launch represents a “significant milestone” for Fatburger and Hot Dog on a Stick.

Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket is the company’s 21st location nationwide and the first in the Northeast.

The addition of the tri-branded restaurant adds to the growing food options available to guests, many of whom travel from across the region to visit the indoor water park and surrounding attractions.
